Annoyed by the new trending bar in Twitter 3.3? Twizzler is the answer.

Today while searching for new apptoys in cydia, I found one that will get rid of one of the most annoying things on the face of the earth!

Well, not that annoying but it is ugly.

Twitter’s new app update posted this Thursday (3/3/2011), includes the addition to new features like photo uploading and location tools, and automatic link shortening using Twitter’s t.co shortener. App users can also quickly find friends on Twitter using their phone’s contact list and tweet faster thanks to autocomplete for @replies and hashtags.
The final feature they added was the trending topics, which as soon as you login to your Twitter App, pops right there in front of you. Very annoying little thing. However, today I found something that will take care of this disaster once and for all.

It’s called Twizzler, and if you are like me and got your iPhone jailbroken, you will be able to download this wonderful tweak.

This is how you do it: “Again, this will only work for jailbroken devices!”

  • Go to Cydia

  • And you should see a new available tweak called Twizzler:

  • Go ahead and download Twizzler, it’s nothing but a tweak so you will not see an icon on your springboard. Its only job is to remove the new trending bar located on the top portion of the new Twitter 3.3

  • Now respring your iPhone, and the annoying thing is gone.
